Club Tijuana arrives in Morelia train ahead of Friday match
MORELIA, Mexico –Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente traveled from Zacatepec to Morelia Wednesday and immediately went to work with a training session upon arrival.
Coach Cesar Farias’ team is preparing for the Week 4 match against Monarcas Morelia in the LIGA Bancomer MX-2014 Apertura Friday Aug. 8 (5:30 p.m. Pacific).
The team went through a warm up and several tactical drills on the natural grass practice field under a cool breeze. The team showed some speed during the practice and the return of team captain Javier Gandolfi in the middle of the defense.
“We will come out to win,” said the club’s General Manager Ignacio Palou.
Palou also said that he has seen a collective brand of soccer on the field and good chemistry but the team has not gotten the results it is looking or as players recover from injuries.
Palou watched the practice and said he is satisfied with the evolution of the team as the players returning from injury are incorporated into action. He said the objective is to get the win against Monarcas Morelia.
Coach Farias’ team will train Thursday morning before going through the final details for its match Friday night.
