CLUB TIJUANA BEGINS REPLACING PLAYING SURFACE AT ESTADIO CALIENTE

The remodeling began Friday May 24

TIJUANA –Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente began renovations on the Estadio Caliente field Friday May 24 in order to bring the playing surface up to date with the latest top-of-the-line Two Stars synthetic turf sanctioned by FIFA.


 


Xoloitzcuintles fans will be able to live the excitement at Club Tijuana Mexican soccer matches as the team plays on artificial surface class “Revolution” installed by the International Soccer Federation sanctioned company, FieldTurf.


 


About eight thousand meters of material made of granite, silicone sand and artificial turf will be installed at Estadio Caliente.


 


The new field meets FIFA’s quality concept and the surface made with the highest technology comes with some advantages, including the same playing attributes as on a natural surface, climate change resistance extending its longevity.


 


It was in February of 2009 when Club Tijuana first installed an artificial surface on the field at Estadio Caliente.
