Club Tijuana visits CD Guadalajara Sept. 15

TIJUANA –Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente is focused on its Week 10 match of the LIGA MX-2013 Apertura in which it will visit Club Deportivo de Guadalajara Sunday Sept. 15 at Estadio Omnilife.


 


The team coached by Jorge Almiron trained Monday Sept. 9 at Estadio Caliente where it worked on schemes in reduced spaces and conditioning after coming away with a 3-0 win against Veracruz last Saturday in a Week 9 match.


 


“We will take advantage of the time we have to prepare for the game against Chivas,” said Club Tijuana forward Diego Olsina, who had two assists in the match against Veracruz. “We look to define the details to face the match. We have an important road game on the road and we need to do what we can to get into a spot to qualify to the postseason.


 


“I’m happy, I enjoyed it,” Olsina said about his performance. “It was key to win last Saturday. It’s what your day to day work gives you. You have to work your hardest and prepared for when it’s your turn and take advantage.”


 


Aldo Polo also talked about the team’s effort in each practice to earn a slot in the starting lineup.


 


“We are ready for what is to come and it is good to get prepared as we all compete within the team,” Polo said. “That helps us grow within the team.


 


“We are going in with the mentality to win doing things well taking it step by step we will go in there looking for a good result.”


 


The Xoloitzcuintles will return to the field Tuesday Sept. 10 and resume training, preparing for its match against CD Guadalajara.
