XOLOITZCUINTLES UNDER-17 HOST CD GUADALAJARA

Club Tijuana looking to extend win streak

TIJUANA –Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente’s Under-17 squad hosts Club Deportivo Guadalajara Friday in a Week 10 match of the LIGA Bancomer MX-2014 Clausura youth national championship.

The Xoloitzcuintles (2-2-3) face second place Guadalajara (5-3-1) in what could be a tough test for coach Ignacio Ruvalcaba’s team. The young Xoloitzcuintles have been rolling as of late, winning back-to-back games, finding an offensive spark it was looking for in the first half of the season. Club Tijuana moved out of a slow start with five goals in two games now moving into the middle of the league standings with playoffs hopes still alive.

Guadalajara comes to Estadio Caliente after playing to ties against Club Deportivo Toluca and Tigres de la UANL, scoring one goal and receiving another. Guadalajara started the season winning five of its first seven games, scoring 14 goals and conceding just four in the process.

Club Tijuana has been playing solid defense which has helped carry support for an offense that has recently found nose for goal. On opposite side, Guadalajara will look to rebound from its two consecutive draws.
