2014 CLAUSURA: SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY SEMESTER

Club Tijuana helps make children’s dream of visiting Estadio Caliente come true

TIJUANA – Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente has been constantly committed to society and being social responsible since the founding of the club.

The tradition continues and to prove it will continue into the future, the team made some dreams come true Friday April 24 on the day of the last match of the regular season against Club Leon.

The Club Tijuana social responsibility staff gathered more than 60 kids from early morning along with partners DIF and Carl’s Jr. (who were part of this throughout the tournament) at the Trompo Museum. That’s where the daylong field trip began for these children.

It was at the museum where the kids got to meet the Mayor of Tijuana Dr. Jorge Aztiazarán. After the museum, the kids ate breakfast at Carl’s Jr. where they got a special visit from Club Tijuana’s official mascot Xolo Mayor. The mascot posed for photos and mingled with the children.

The kids then traveled to Estadio Caliente where they got a chance to see the stadium in a special section designated for visitors who are part of a social responsibility event. These same kids stayed to witness the match vs. Club Leon.

Club Tijuana’s Marketing Manager Ricardo Martinez talked about the importance of having this event.

“It is gratifying for the club to be able to make these kids’ dreams come true,” Martinez said. “It is an honor that our institution can do these type of activities and we hope to continue with them in the future for society.”
