XOLOITZCUINTLES UNDER-17 TEAM AT SURF CUP

DEL MAR, Calif. –Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente’s Under-17 team began the San Diego Surf Cup with a 1-0 win against SC del Sol of Phoenix, Ariz. Saturday.

Brandon Monteon, 16, sent in the game winner for the Xoloitzcuintles in the second half. Club Tijuana's Under-17 also beat RSF Attack 3-0 in their second match of the tournament. Coach Marco Marroquin’s squad will continue playing in the international tournament through the weekend. 

The San Diego Surf Cup is one of the largest youth soccer tournaments in the United States where more than 450 college scouts attend.
