CLUB TIJUANA 1-1 TIGRES UANL (FINAL)

TIJUANA –Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente played to a 1-1 draw against Tigres UANL in a Week 3 match of the LIGA Bancomer MX-2014 Apertura Friday night at Estadio Caliente.

Dario Benedetto opened up the score with a right-footed blast from about 25-yards out in the 11^th minute, beating Tigres goalkeeper Nahuel Guzman burying it into the roof of the net. Cristian Pellerano set up the scoring play when he flicked a one-timer from about midfield.

Tigres tied the match in the 25^th minute when Anselmo Vandrechovski sent in a right-footer past Xoloitzcuintles goalkeeper Cirilo Saucedo.

Both teams created chances at goal with Dayro Moreno hitting the crossbar in the first half on a shot from just outside the penalty box.

Club Tijuana will now travel to face Zacatecas in COPA MX action Tuesday Aug. 5 in the second leg of the first phase series. 

The Xoloitzcuintles will now travel to face Monarcas Morelia Saturday Aug. 8 in a Week 4 match.
