XOLOITZCUINTLES CLOSER TO YOU

Coach Daniel Guzman participates in Club Tijuana’s first ever Tweetcam

TIJUANA -The cyber world was decorated in red and black Wednesday with the presence of Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente manager Daniel Guzman. He took advantage of the wonders of social media to interact with the Xoloitzcuintles faithful.

The head coach participated in the first ever tweetcam session of Club Tijuana lasting about a half hour. He was pleasantly surprised by the comments from the Xoloitzcuintles fans who primarily asked about the team’s mental and physical condition prior to the Queretaro match.

Fans like @Aldhair_Vazquez who took advantage and asked the manager what his starting lineup on Friday would be. Guzman, known as “El Travieso,” did not want to disappoint and said he planned on using the following players:  Saucedo, Jimenez, Gandolfi, H. Pellerano, Güemez, C. Pellerano, Ruiz, Arango, Moreno, and Benedetto. He did say he still didn’t know if it would be Nuñez or Garza to complete the defensive line.

“I am thankful, we were able to share some thoughts, exchange points of view about football, about the team,” Guzman said about the Tweetcam. “This is a very respectful fan base that knows its team. They ask questions with substance, about football, about their team. They are worried and preoccupied with the desire to see this Xolos team complete at the highest level. Personally, I am grateful and committed to have and present this Xolos team with the desire to win every match.”

Other followers like Franz Mercado @franzjma_13 questioned the coach if there would be any special defensive assignments over Ronaldinho while Andres Camarillo @andrescamarill wanted to know if he had considered who was his third captain.

At times “El Travieso” took control of the session and joked around with the fans that were connected. He also talked about his arrival to Tijuana and how he has felt in the more than 40 days he has had as a Xoloitzcuintle.

Guzman invited the cyber-fans to be on alert for the next tweetcam.

“Through here we will be in further contact,” Guzman said. “You will have us even closer. You’ll be able to chat with who ever you want and you’ll get to know the team and how we work in a more intimate manner.”
