Club Tijuana WPSL team beats Norwalk FC 4-0 in Friendly
TIJUANA -Club Tijuana Xloitzcuintes women's team played to a 4-0 win against visiting Norwalk FC Wednesday in a friendly match at Estadio Caliente. The "Xolas" used a colleciton of a fluid brand of soccer and a potent attack to get by the team from South Los Angeles County.
Club Tijuana took a 1-0 lead on a Norwalk defensive mistake in the 43rd minute. Jazmin Aguas took a bad ball from the defense, shook off the goalkeeper and sent a powerful shot into the net.
The Xolas continues to capitalize on more Norwalk errors on defense as Adriana Calzadilla made it 2-0 in the 54th minute with a shot across the area into the net. Carolina Jamarillo scored the third for Club Tijuana with a powerful shot from inside the area in the 63rd minute. Carla Rossi capped the scoring with a 77th minute goal, seinding a blast from outside the area into the lowe-right corner of the net.
Club Tijuana will return to Women's Premier Soccer League action this weekend when it visits Vanguard University in a Week 3 match.
