Club Tijuana to face MLS team in CONCACAF Champions League
TIJUANA (March 1, 2018)- Club Tijuana will face New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer in the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals.
The Xoloitzcuintles clinched a spot in the home-and-home series after beating Motagua FC of Honduras 2-1 in aggregate in the Round of 16.
Red Bulls beat Olimpia of Honduras 3-1 in aggregate to advance.
This will be the second time Club Tijuana faces an MLS team in the Champions League. It played the LA Galaxy in the 2013-2014 quarterfinals.
Dates and times for the quaterfinal matches against the Red Bulls will be determined shortly.
