Club Tijuana hosts Motagua FC in second leg of Round of 16 series
TIJUANA (Feb. 26, 2018) –Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles is back home and ready to host a match. This time, it will face Motagua FC of Honduras in the second leg match of the CONCACAF Champions League Round of 16.
Kickoff is set for 7:15 p.m. Pacific and the Xoloitzcuintles are ready to face the team from Honduras. Club Tijuana leads the home-and-home series 1-0 after beating Motagua in Edinburg, Texas last week. Jose Rivero scored the goal for the Xoloitzcuintles at HEB Park.
The Xoloitzcuintles finished preparing for the upcoming match with a Monday morning practice at Estadio Caliente.
This will be the second time a team from Honduras visits Tijuana. CD Victoria played at Estadio Caliente in the 2013-2014 edition of the international competition.
It is also Club Tijuana’s second time competing in this tournament that pairs teams from North and Central America and the Caribbean. The Xoloitzcuintles reached the semifinals in 2013-2014.
